They have brought about a revolution in the two wheeler segment by introducing e bicycles or you could call them E-Bikes marketed by their sister concern R. K Motors It was experience, infrastructure, R& D, international know-how and innovative spark that envisioned the birth of e bicycles at R. K Group In 2001 it first started development of three wheelers and battery operated two wheelers, keeping in mind the needs of the Indian market and the budgets of the common man. In the year 2003 it launched its first Electric bicycle and three wheeler. After a revamp 2006, R. K. Group is now ready to spread its dealer network of e bicycles all across India with prompt after-sales service to the end user. The R. K E Bikes comes in different models catering to various needs. The main attractions of these bikes are they run virtually without petrol. It runs on electric power stored in a battery, which needs to be charged at periodic intervals. Once fully charged, it gives you mileage of around 50 to 80 km / hrs. The charging of the batteries consumers 1 unit of electricity. This means that E-Bike is 10 to 15 times more economical as compared to conventional, diesel petrol vehicle. To put it simply, at the cost of 1 lit. Petrol, the R. K. E Bike runs more than 500 800 km The E-bike runs on a battery which needs to be charged by connecting the charger to three pin domestic electric point. The battery starts getting charged. The charger automatically disconnects after is fully charged, the green led display indicates that the battery is fully charged. The battery can be charged for 300 times. During its tenure, it gives mileage of around 15000 to 18000 km. The design of the E-Bike is stunning. They come in an aerodynamic styled body with strong shock absorbers and without gears. They are easy to ride and quite simple to maintain. Moreover they are environment friendly as it causes no pollution. The E Bike is exempted from registration by regulatory Authority, as its specification comply with the ARAI norms. The E Bike is also provided with pedals to meet undesired incident of battery getting discharged. In such cases one can comfortably pedal to their destination.
